Bookings that you make after May 31st will no longer be eligible for refunds with COVID-19-related issues in their new policy. The company says that the standard cancellation policy by the host will apply instead of this COVID-19-related issue refund.

Guests will be able to cancel up to five days or up to 24 hours before check-in (As per the flexible policy) Also, reservations made before the end of next month will still be eligible for a COVID-19 refund if they meet the terms of the company’s policy. [There are some exceptions for South Korea and China]
Well, if it makes it better, the company will soon start offering travel insurance in the coming months. And until then, you could just get your insurance somewhere else. Although the pandemic is still not over as nearly a third of the global population has yet to receive 1 vaccine dose, cases still are decreasing.
