Nothing just confirmed rumors that they are designing and building their first smartphone called the ‘phone(1)’. Oneplus was a company that focused on making flagship killers running Android, after which they merged with Oppo earlier this year to help continue their growth.
But in the year 2021, one of the founding members of Oneplus, Carl Pei announced that they were leaving the company to build Nothing. Nothing was a company that would do the same thing Oneplus did, but shake it up with the smartphone industry through a new approach to design. There were always speculations about the company that they would start making smartphones ever since they announced their existence.
The phone (1) was revealed at a Nothing event a while back, although specifications are still very little about the phone (1) it will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon platform featuring a streamlined version of Android the company calls nothing OS

The company promises that its new smartphone is designed to deliver a fast, smooth, and personal experience to effortlessly connect and integrate products from every world-leading brand, including themselves.
The only other detail the company revealed about the phone (1) is that the company plans to release it in the summer. There are a lot of speculations surrounding this phone, people saying that the phone could have a transparent back [although that might end up being true] it remains to be seen.
