Snapchat just introduced a lot of new features for their new suite of creator-friendly editing tools called Director Mode, which they said are rolling out in the coming months with their partner Summit event.

Snapchat said that this new model is helped to make people create better content than what is currently possible with their in-app camera, including tools like green screen features and more camera controls, including the ability to record simultaneously from their front and the back-facing camera.

Verse new mode is geared for creators to create better content for the spotlight, the competitor to TikTok. The company also teased a new partnership with Live Nation, allowing festival-goers to access AR features made specifically for live events, including the ability to virtually try on merge with AR and find friends with other AR effects. The app is also building out its AR shopping features, adding a new section of their app called Dress Up exclusively made for AR Trion experiences from brands and creators making their AR shopping features available to other apps via their camera kit developer program.
