Spotify is now ready to let everyone offer video podcasts. As of now, you won’t need to apply for it. From today, every creator in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand will be able to publish video podcasts directly via Anchor. Interactive features like pools and Q&A sessions will be available for video podcasts and embedded podcasts now. Also, play on websites, so you won’t have to launch Spotify to view them.

People in other countries will be able to upload video podcasts sometime shortly, according to the company. There are also a lot more promises of more ways for creators to make money beyond subscriptions for their podcasts, so that’ll be interesting to see what the company comes up with.
This move really will help Spotify’s video podcast platform reach the full potential as Spotify introduced video podcasts in July of 2020, but only for a very small handful of shows. But now we will see video podcasting in its full potential on Spotify.
