Instagram is now making a few more changes to their platform [Very major ones] Instagram head Adam Ozery said that they are making sure that credit is going to those who deserve it. This new announcement includes three major changes:

Product tags and advanced people tags are also available to everyone now. The third one is kind of peculiar, Instagram said that they are going to be starting to heavily promote original content on their platform. Mosseri said that if you create content from scratch on Instagram, you will get more credit and exposure than if you would be re-sharing any content that you found from somewhere else (and come on, they’re talking about TikTok. Basically, most Reels on Instagram are re-posts from TikTok)

This went on to say that they would be valuing more original content compared to reposted content. Instagram’s just begging you to stop posting your favorite TikToks to Reels.
