Quests VR hand tracking has come a long way in these two years that it’s been here, Now the company just upgraded its presence platform hand tracking support for Quest headset apps, allowing for better and more natural gestures involving hand over hand interactions as you’ll also be able to clap your hands and provide a true to life thumbs up in VR, without your controllers.

This new update also provides better consistent tracking, including fast hand movements like waving. The company says that they improved with their new AI-based approach, including deep learning, and better understanding your hand poses when the cameras only have a limited view.
Although it will take a while before every VR app on Quest will be able to take full advantage of this new, improved hand tracking. Although Meta is promising relatively little work for developers.
