Well, Panic just began shipping their long-awaited Playdate portable gaming machine. Well, there was an 11-hour delay due to a critical battery issue, but now it’s all resolved. In an email the company sent, they said that If you were among some of the first people that preordered the device back in 2021, you will get an email the moment the company starts sending out your unit.
The company went on to say that they would ramp up their shipping volume every day, making sure that all of their systems are working smoothly. They also said that they would get Group One [A bunch of people that first preordered the device back in 2021] deliveries within the next month.
Unfortunately, if you just heard about this device and you are interested in it, you could just go ahead and order the handheld gaming device, but you will have to wait for a very long time, as the company says that they’ve filled their production capacity for 2022
