A few days back it was World Quantum Day, Google celebrated this occasion by launching the Qubit game. This game was created in partnership with DoubleSpeak games. The company says that it’s a playful journey to building a quantum computer one Qubit at a time. Also hoping for more exposure and public interest in quantum computing.
This game is all about Qubits [The basic building block of a quantum computer] The game is pretty straightforward and you don’t need to learn any quantum entanglement stuff, But the goal is to increase the number of Qubits while keeping them cool. Also, the more qubits you begin to have, the more difficult the game gets, and eventually, you will discover new upgrades and complete big research projects, and hopefully become a little more curious about how humanity is building Quantum computers.
Google says that the goal is to draw attention to quantum computing, as it seems like there’s a dearth of people working in the field, and not a lot of people know about it and are interested in it. But Google is very interested in bringing the game to the classroom, hoping to encourage educators to talk about the subject expand access to research in quantum computing, and maybe more recruitments in the field?
