The Twitter Android app has always lagged behind the iOS app for years, not anymore. Twitter is now working on allowing Android users to freely select text within the tweets, which the iOS Twitter client has allowed you to do for a while now.

This discovery did lead to some confusion between Android users, as a lot of Android users already allow you to do that, like Google Pixel devices come with a feature called Overview selection, letting you select text from any screen for copying and pasting.
We don’t really know when Twitter will plan to roll out this feature to Android users, although it is strange that it took the company so long to add this feature and it’s really simple. But now that it’s on the way, Android users will appreciate it.
