Apple JUST cut off iPhone SE production by 20%

Apple is going to be making 20% pure iPhone SEs next quarter, and 10 million fewer AirPods for all of 2022. Many sources previously expected Apple to ship 25 to 30 million but now that number is going closer to 15 to 20 million. (a 22 and 66 percent decrease).

According to many reports, there are no supply chain issues or chip shortages which played a part in the problems in the electronic industry, But the thing is the demand for budget Apple devices are not that substantial and that is why Apple has decided not to invest there.

There are a lot of factors that lead to people being less interested in the iPhone SE. The war, inflation & COVID lockdowns in China are issues. Also, people that buy iPhone SEs aren’t the type to run out and upgrade. Also the new generation SE costs $30 more, the Mini lineup is already what the iPhone SE should be

Still, 20 percent is a big drop in production and could help set the reference point for the SE’s sales over the phone’s (likely multi-year) lifecycle. We don’t really what this could mean for the Future Gen of iPhone SE.
