Previously, Twitter said they would default to showing the algorithmically served home feed (which a lot of people did not like, including me) They said that the reverse-chronological latest feed would be accessible in a separate tab, but a lot of people did not like it anyways. The company said that this change was going to be available first on iOS and then Android/ Web. But after they did get a lot of Backlashes. They went ahead and canceled this decision of forcing the chronological home feed.
Twitter support’s Twitter account shared a tweet saying, “We heard you — some of you always want to see the latest Tweets first, We’ve switched the timeline back and removed the tabbed experience for now while we explore other options.”

A lot of users criticized Twitter for this change after it was announced on March 10th. This out-of-sequence home feed can be confusing for a lot of people as a lot of people use Twitter for updates during news events. Shaokyi Amdo (A Twitter Spokesperson) said that they take feedback very seriously and they heard that the new pinned home/latest was not giving people the level of control over their timeline and that is why they decided to cancel it.
Based on what the executives at Twitter say, Twitter is investigating a lot of other new possible changes to the timeline in the future While also giving the users choice and control over their experience in the social networking site.
