During this teardown of the Mac Studio, Max discovered two SSD ports, which does mean that the Max studio storage is upgradable after all. The thing is that you won’t be able to upgrade the Mac Studio yourself because you could void the warranty. The SSD slots seem relatively easy to access, after removing the Studio’s rubber backing to reveal four screws connecting the bottom part of the device’s case, there are 2 SSD ports under the power supply of the Mac Studio.

Apple says on the product page of the Mac Studio, That users cannot access the device storage and also that it is not user-accessible. Apple also says that if you think you could need any more storage capacity in the future, you should consider configuring a higher capacity storage model.

Currently, the Mac Studio Can be configured with up to 8 terabytes of internal storage, The standard model with 512GB SSD storage costs $1999, and 8TB will cost you an extra $2400. The Mac Studio’s Internal storage could be upgradeable at some point shortly. It’s still worth noting that because the RAM is integrated into the Apple and one chip, there is no way you will be able to upgrade it after purchasing the machine.

We never know if we will see a DIY SSD installation kit for the Studio and the future, Apple suggests it would be better if you could get the work done by a professional.
