According to a new trademark application by Samsung in the United Kingdom, The company could be working on fashionable skins for their phones. The United Kingdom Intellectual Property Office application describes, “protective and decorative films adapted for smartphones,” & it’s titled “Fashion Film”. Dayummmm Samsung.

Although this does not confirm the fact that an actual product will ever come (There have been a lot of other trademarks Samsung registered But never used) Although it’s still a way for Samsung to show that they are taking a step to enter the skin and accessory market. Currently, this space in the skin and accessory market is mainly taken up by DBrand, they even had their product featured in Samsung stores.
Although this trademark does not specify what particular phone they are looking forward to making skins for (There haven’t even been any compatibility Logs) It’s just really cool to see them go ahead and take interest in this side of the market, As skins are cool alternatives for anyone who wants to just opt out of using a phone case for daily use and just change the way their phone looks and feel.
Samsung did show interest in the styling element back in October with their bespoke edition smartphones for the Galaxy Z Flip 3.
