This announcement comes straight after they’re gearing up for the launch of the first smartphone they will ever make by next month. In a leaked Photo by EV leaks, Carl Pei was reportedly seen showing off a prototype (that most probably is the phone they are going to launch) device to Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon.
Pei said in a press release, “Our first year was a warmup, and we can’t wait to reveal what we’re building at Nothing during the upcoming event,” Nothing hasn’t revealed categories of products they intend to make but because they are working with Qualcomm use its Snapdragon platform makes us pretty shared that this device could be a very powerful one.
We don’t know anything about the Nothing smartphone that is rumored right now. According to many sources, the phone can include transparent elements like those seen with the Ear 1 earbuds (The first product they ever made) But because Nothing hired Adam Bates, ex-Dyson design lead to serve as the design director saying they will continue to work with Stockholm-based Teenage Engineering to help steer the brand’s high-level design. It seems like there’s something very cool in the making.
