This monitor from Alienware is the first of its kind to come with a Samsung QD-OLED panel. It is a 34-inch gaming monitor and it is the first Monitor in the entire world to come with Samsung’s new Quantum Dot OLED panel. Well, it does cost $1299. Alienware, previously showed the monitor at CES this year and they will start shipping it out in spring.
Well, the price isn’t really low for a monitor, it’s still very cheap than other standard OLED monitors currently in the market, like LG’s 32-inch Ultrafine UHD OLED monitor (Which isn’t meant for gaming and costs $3999) Although size is a big factor that plays a role here, it is still very good to see a monitor that has new QD OLED technology available well below the $2000 mark as new technology is always very pricey.
While there’s QD OLED monitor from Alienware has a lot of advantages, It combines the advantages of an OLED monitor allowing it to have deep blacks and bold contrast While also having great quantum dot technology Advantages which allow it to have higher brightness levels with more vibrant colors. While we did not talk about the specs, here is all about it.
This monitor should claim 99.3 percent of the DCI-P3 color space, with a resolution of 3440 x 1440 resolution, a great 175 Hz refresh rate, and mind boggling brightness rate of up to 1000 nits. There is a 0.1-millisecond response rate and also support for NVIDIA G-Sync Ultimate Technology, which makes it a great choice for gaming.
So we see a $1299 price tag on this Alienware monitor. It shows How the competition is going to be pricing their products as we can expect from other Brands. Sony is also expected to release their first-ever QD OLED 4K TV later this year, and it’s going to be interesting to find out how much it cost.
