Mark Zuckerberg warns not to screenshot your Facebook chats

This decision is going to be very sad for some people who are fond of taking screenshots of their chats, Mark Zuckerberg has just announced that Meta is introducing a new update to the disappearing messages/ Vanish mode feature (Normally used for stuff someone doesn’t want to keep a record of)

This feature normally makes all of the new messages disappear within 12 hours when activated. Very much like Snapchat, But there’s always been a common issue with people screenshotting their chats, Although if you do it on Snapchat, the other user gets notified, Well, that feature is coming to Facebook’s Messenger now. Kind of a sad thing for people, really love to take screenshots of their chats.

Although this won’t affect people who use messenger normally this is part of making Messenger end to end encrypted. They said that they are adding Giphy, stickers, and reactions to encrypted chats too.

In a screenshot with the announcement, Mark Zuckerberg showed that when the disappearing messages setting is turned on you, the other user will be notified when you took a screenshot.

Users are liking this new feature, Although this is currently widely available in the US and will be introduced in Europe in the next few weeks. It’s a great feature and allows better competition with their rival Snapchat.
