You will now be able to see iMessage reactions on Android.

Well previously, When iMessage users tried to send a reaction to Android users’ texts, The Android user would get a text message saying how the person did react to the message when the iPhone user would remove that emoji reaction, The Android user would also get a text saying that the iPhone user removed the reaction (Honestly very awkward and not a great way of interacting)

Well, Apple did not do anything to fix that, Instead, Google’s messages beta version has picked up a new update (20220121_02_RCoo) Which adds the functionality for viewing the emojis sent by iPhones as a reaction to a chat. Android users will now not see those irritating messages indicating that the other user has reacted to their chat.

We did get to know about this upcoming feature back in November, but it was never an official thing from Google’s end. People did not see it Until very recent days. Only the people with the major beta update did get to see this feature upcoming on the Google Messages app.

Also, if you want to use this feature right now, if you do have friends that are on the opposite side of the ecosystem wall, you can just go ahead and grab the beta version of Google Messages on the Play Store right now. If you are on the latest beta version And are not able to see the reactions, You will be able to find a toggle for the setting in settings, then advanced and then you can just tap on “iPhone reactions as emoji”.
