WhatsApp, Meta’s messaging app, wants to be popular in the US as it is everywhere else in the entire world. WhatsApp is really big in some countries like India where almost everyone uses it. It is also a significant contender in the messaging space in many other countries, but it is almost absent in the US.

But now WhatsApp is thinking of turning that around. WhatsApp wants to get their numbers high up in the US too now. Starting this weekend, Meta is starting the first-ever US marketing push for WhatsApp, focusing on the privacy offered by their End to end encryption. Whatsapp’s privacy advertisements will Soon start appearing on billboards and online in the US.

This marketing push is to get more people in the US to switch to WhatsApp by showing the app’s security Features over other messaging services.

This possibly is going to be very hard for WhatsApp because most of the users in the US Normally stick to their default messaging Platform. People on iPhones use iMessage and people on Android just use whatever default messaging app is provided with the phone out of the box.

Although if WhatsApp manages to turn around users in the US. The green and blue bubble War between people on iMessage and Android devices will decrease, which is going to be good. It’s still going to be very hard for WhatsApp to convince the masses to switch to their platform, and we have to keep looking forward as to what happens.
