Alexa unresponsive after going rogue and putting little girl in danger.

Many Alexa-powered devices today were very silent. Well, that’s not a good thing. Anyways, this smart device assistant was silent and not responding to some requests. Alexa was refusing to work, and when you did ask a question (Holy **** the robot uprising!)

The blue light on the Echo speakers did show that the device was registering the question, but the light on it did glow red shortly after While not answering the question. That is why a Smart home dependent on AI is still not a good thing today.

Anyways, this red light thing glows normally to indicate that the speaker microphone is muted. But that does not seem to be the case when these people reported the error. This is an issue right now, mostly for people in Germany, But There are other users in the rest of the world, suffering from the same problem.

Amazon did take a while to fix this problem and did not give clear explanations to explain why this issue occurred. Also, today when you asked a question to the Echo Show, it brought up the current weather report and these things that you asked it on the display, but the voice output was absent. Seems like Alexa’s sassy.

Reports did say that Amazon addressed the issue of you Evers after the initial reports. The reason for this disruption, however, remains a mystery as they did not give a proper reason and no one has figured it out themselves.

The company statement just says “This morning a problem prevented some customers from interacting with Alexa. The service is now working as usual again”. All of this is happening after another Amazon Alexa put a child in danger. Trust me, this is not good PR for Amazon.

More about that Alexa putting that child’s life in danger. When a kid asked for a challenge to an Amazon Alexa, She was given dangerous instructions, She was told to “Plugin a phone charger about halfway into a wall outlet, then touch a penny to the exposed prongs,” After Amazon became aware of what Alexa was up to, They immediately fixed the error, the little girl’s mother described the incident on Twitter. Again, not good marketing for Alexa. This is kind of getting sketchy.

Is there a global Alexa uprising on its way? We never know.
