The Apple WWDC 21 event was held nearly 12 hrs ago, they mostly added software improvements with new stuff like iOS 15, Mac OS Monterey, iPad OS 15 and Watch OS 8, here’s all the stuff that happened, detailed.

iOS 15

These guys started out with iOS 15, taking about FaceTime, they said they’d introduce Facetime Spacial Audio, making it more useful and natural. They introduced Grid View and Portrait Mode too. Now, FaceTime Video calls are more like Google Meet and Zoom, with Facetime Links which could be shared, planned and would be usable with Browser and Android too.

They then introduced Shareplay to listen with people together on videocall and Shareplay API for Devs and people to work more with Screensharing within Facetime.

With that they introduced iMessages with better features like sharing Articles, Photos
Apple News, too.

They said that with iOS 15, Notifications are changed and are customisable even with DND. They added a Google Lens-Like text extraction/AI neural network feature availabe in iPhone’s Cameras, these included Live Texts too.

Apple Wallet app helps to work like a key/pass with NFC’s , it could be used as Disney Passes, BMW Keys, House Keys, Hotel Keys, Work Key. The Apple Walllet app can be used as several ID’s in the US with the states which are allowing it for and Drivers ID, and other ID’s are available too.

Introducing the new look of the Weather App, new UI with which they explained it’s usefulness and the integration with Maps.
“Apple Maps is now better, with more Countries and Globe Like Maps, night view maps, road details and lanes and 3D lanes”

Airpods

The Airpods introduced Conversation Boost for people with listening disabilities, they also added a feature called SIRI Announce Notifications, which literally narrates the Notifications.

With some tech, Airpods have FindMy integration now and are available on the FindMy Network too. Airpods will have Apple Music 3D listen integration with Apple TV

iPad OS 15

They also introduced more navigational control with the Keboard, They will now allow for the Home Screen Widgets to be usable anywhere on the Screen, like Androids, for being more like a Computer, they added Files Widgets for better usefulness and also some extra widgets too.

With iCloud there are 2 new improvements: There were two new ways to login, digital legacy available for data transfer on death. iCloud Plus, now available for private relay now other email adresses are available to bypass into themain for privacy. CCTV cameras are available too, with Apple Health, it’s easy for doctors to get a patient’s data in a better way.

Watch OS 8

Apple added Health Monitoring with Apple Watch, fixed the Breathe App, with a better UI, added a Mindfulness App, useful for body and tracking.

Photos changes your Watch Face Automatically with AI from your Photos App Gallery. There’s also Scribble Mode Available into iMessage in Apple Watch now.

Apple Home

Apple introduced their Home Kit Smart Home too, by adding Door Keys, on iPhone, SIRI into Apple TV, Shareplay integration with Apple TV, also with Homepod Mini and other music services integrated too. Personalised SIRI with Homepod with more new voices, was introduced too.

Mac OS

Finally the Biggest News, Big Sur is now Monterey, so you’ll call it Mac OS Monterey, with software improvements, the Webcam is now better, with a good Focus Mode, new DND, with Universal Control on Mac’s around their Ecosystem enables to use a single mouse on both the iPad and Macbook and iPad.

iPAD AND Mac have the same browser experience which is really seamless within the Apple Devices in Safari. and there is sync and it now have more extensions and can be used in iPhone, iPad and Mac too.

Finally the Event Concluded with some Dev Talk and Dev Conference, which isn’t much relevant for you as a consumer.
