Netflix is making Oxenfree freely available to users with a subscription to its streaming service, more than six years after Oxenfree made its PC debut and five years after Oxenfree debuted on iOS and Android. The new “Netflix Edition” of the game is currently available for download from the iOS and Android app stores. This Oxenfree version adds expanded localization support. In total, the game is now playable with subtitles in more than 30 different languages.

Oxenfree is the latest game to be added on Netflix, but it stands out because it was developed internally. Night School Studio, a developer of Oxenfree, was purchased by the business last year. Although there appears to be little customer interest, Netflix is continuing to pursue its gaming goals. Desta: The Memories Between, the newest game from Monument Valley creator Ustwo, will be made available by the business on September 27th. Additionally, it hinted that the widely praised Kentucky Route Zero would “soon” be free as well.
