Spotify has formally launched audiobooks as yet another listening option in its app, following many actions that suggested this day was nearing. Users in the US will now be able to access a special section for the format that enables independent purchases using a web link. The company claims that at debut, its library will have more than 300,000 titles. Audiobooks will appear in your suggestions on the home page in addition to having their own area with music and podcasts. You’ll get a selection of Spotify’s initial recommendations when you explore the audiobooks tab.
