It’s time for you to get the 2022 Kindle with HUGE upgrades

It’s been a while since Amazon upgraded the Kindle’s entry-level model, but it seems that patience pays off in the end. The 2022 edition contains so many improvements that anyone who purchased a Kindle in the previous year (like me) will be green with envy. First off, the display has been upgraded to 300 PPI from 167 PPI, giving it the same resolution as the last few Paperwhites and touting “laser-quality” lettering and graphics.

The onboard storage has been doubled to 16GB, matching Amazon’s generosity elsewhere on the specification list. A USB-C port for charging, a lighter frame, an adjustable front light, and a longer, six-week battery life are all included. Additionally, purchasers will receive a four-month Kindle Unlimited trial, but this deal is only valid while supplies last. The Kindle Kids receives the same specifications as its parent Kindle as a result of the update to the Kindle. Each device includes a one-year subscription to Amazon Kids+, which offers thousands of books for children as well as standard parental control options.

The new Kindles’ eco-friendliness is another selling point for Amazon, which claims that both are made of 90% recycled magnesium. Additionally, all of the packagings is now constructed using materials from sustainably managed forests and is completely recyclable. The new Amazon Kindle is available in Black or Denim starting at $99.99, while the Kindle Kids costs $119.99.
