Jeep just announced four new EV models to release by 2025

As the company strives to “become the leading electrified SUV brand in the world,” Jeep announced on Thursday its plan to release four new EV models in the US and Europe by 2025. Additionally, Jeep has set a goal for 50% of US sales and 100% of EU sales to be battery electrics (BEVs) by 2030. This announcement has become much less shocking in the automotive industry over the past few years.

The new model selection builds on the popularity of the plug-in hybrid Wrangler 4xe and the recently unveiled Grand Cherokee 4xe. A new Recon and Wagoneer, both of which were initially presented during Thursday’s livestream and will be offered in both North American and European markets, as well as an Avenger EV are among them. According to Jeep PR, the Avenger EV will arrive in Europe “early next year.”

The Recon will be released to the public the following year, and production is scheduled to start in 2024. Bookings for the model start in early 2023. It will also be available for reservations early in the next year. The Wagoneer will be a completely new take on a classic Jeep vehicle, with the business apparently “seeking a range of 400 miles on a single charge, 600 hp and a 0-60 mph pace of roughly 3.5 seconds.” The small Avenger SUV will complement the Wagoneer’s medium mass, even if it won’t initially be made available in the United States. Instead, it will be advertised in Europe and Asia, with a 400km target range. By the second quarter of 2023, it should be on dealer show floors after its October public debut.
