The last tablet Google made was the Pixel slate, and it failed in the market. It was a device that was very much criticized, Google also stopped making tablets in 2019. But in Google fashion, the company is back at it again as part of their hardware presentation at the Google IO 2022 developer Conference. Today, Google teased the Pixel tablet, which is a premium Android-powered device arriving in 2023.

The tablet is months away from being released as Google is only giving very few details about the tablet right now. They say that the device is premium and will run on the company’s custom tensor ship like the latest Pixel phones right now. Also, the new tablet is going to be running Google’s version of Android built for larger screens as an initiative that’s been in the works for a while now. Google says that they heard that users want a larger screen pixel experience to complement their phones, so the company is seeing some level of consumer demand for this kind of device.
Considering that the device won’t be out until sometime in 2023, it’s still very hard to predict if Google has learned from its past mistakes in the tablet or arena as the company made and commitment at Google IO to build more than twenty of their apps for large-screen devices.

Hot take: This new tablet, just like the Google Pixel slate, could also flop in the market because of the wide bezels that have, Although I could be wrong, I’m pretty sure I am true.
