Samsung has just revealed the OneUI 5 OS in beta for the Galaxy S22 smartphone lineup. The voice is very much Android 13 flavored and many changes are very minor with some very minimal cosmetic improvements, along with some enhancements for security, notifications, the camera, and more. However, Android 13 might offer significant improvements for foldable devices like the Galaxy Fold 4 that is going to be arriving at the August 10th unpacked event.

Samsung is getting their OS updates out more quickly now, as OneUI 5 launched over a month earlier than OneUI 4 Last year. The OS does take a lot of advantage from the Android 13 theme makeover, with twelve color options for the home screen, icons, and quick panels. It also lets users save space by stacking widgets while adding accessibility options like a magnifier tool.

Users can also see Android 13 updates like new notification settings that require apps to request permission before sending Notifications, there is also a new security dashboard that lets users perform a security and privacy check. Android 13 packs a lot of foldable enhancements designed for devices like the Galaxy Fold 3 that have different sizes, resolutions, and pixel densities on the inner and outer displays.
