Porsche will bring a new software upgrade to the Taycan EV that’ll increase the range of the car

Porsche is releasing a new dealer-installed update to their Taycan EV that will provide a substantial range boost. Faster charging, updated infotainment, and more. These changes are available for free to every tycoon ever manufactured, as Porsche is now showing the benefits of software upgrades.

The biggest change is improved efficiency that will add up to 31 miles of range on the WLTP cycle, giving a considerable boost to the Taycan’s 200-mile EPA rating. Managed to achieve this by de-energizing the front motor and normal and eco operation while retaining the regen braking settings when Drive Modes are switched. Porsche has also optimized thermal management, allowing the battery to charge longer at its maximum 270 kW range. This will be especially helpful if you come in with a higher charge level, as the system will previously throttle down the speeds.

Another big change is the infotainment system in the car, as Porsche has now updated that to improve starting up in response times while making everything more robust. It also revised the heads-up display and added new integrations for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, allowing both of them to work wirelessly.
