The Exynos era might be killed by Samsung themselves

The next series flagship phone lineup from Samsung might just mark the end of an era as according to Ming-Chi Kuo, an industry analyst says that the company is dropping Exynos and single-sourcing the processor for their next S Series Flagship devices from Qualcomm.

Over the years, the company used both the Snapdragon and Exynos Socs in their flagship devices and shipped the Exynos and the Qualcomm chips differently based on where a user lived. Galaxy S and note series Ward have exclusively come with Qualcomm chips for users in the US, and most of the other Samsung customers in Europe and Asia used to get the Exynos chip.

The company has always tried to keep the Exynos variants of their phones alive As it was, there in house built chips Brought in nearly every situation where Samsung offered both the variants of their phones to different users based on where they live, the Qualcomm device will always outperform the company’s chips or provide better battery life, and also provided more stable experiences when it came to apps and games.

The reality for Samsung has become very hard to ignore, as the S 23 might not adopt the Exynos chip made by Samsung as it might not be able to compete with the Snapdragon 8550 in all aspects. What this new change could mean for the future of Exynos. Samsung’s brand is hard to say, as the company has spent years working with AMD, designing and creating the Galaxy S22 Exynos 2200 only for that ship to run into some of the biggest issues that affected its predecessors.
