Every Video You Upload On Instagram will be a Reel

As many big new short video social platforms continue to bloom like TikTok and YouTube Shorts, Instagram just cannot resist seeing themselves die out with time as they slowly fade into nothingness, which is probably why they are pushing Instagram Reels to its limits, they are now deciding to make all video posts on Instagram to be shared as Reels.

Social media consultant Matt Navarra just posted a screenshot about this on Twitter, and it shows the notice for an experimental Instagram feature that will make sure all video posts are shared as Reels. This means that if your account is public, anyone will be able to discover your video and use your original audio to create their Reel, And if you would like to make sure no one can use your reel for remixes, there is an option to turn it off in the settings or to disable it for every video you post.

This move isn’t that big of a surprise, as short-form content like Tiktok has become a very popular format on both Instagram and Facebook. Mark Zuckerberg also says that Reels is now the fastest-growing content format. The companies also are probably focusing on monetizing Reels to compensate for the slowing revenue growth in the future the company.
