Microsoft is now trying to make Edge the best browser for gamers, as the company is now rolling out a new host of gaming updates that will be useful to a lot of gamer users out there. There are these many different cool updates for games like the new Clarity Boost feature that improves the visual quality of console titles when you’re using Xbox Cloud Gaming on a Windows 10 or 11 PC. The spatial upscaling technology won’t ever make you forget that it’s a stream but the sample Microsoft does offer makes us feel like it will reduce the money look that sometimes plagues these remote gaming services.

Currently, you won’t need an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription for the other improvements, as Windows 10 and 11 users will also see a toggle in efficiency mode that automatically reduces the browser’s resource use when you start a PC game. So this means you won’t ever have to close your browser to get that extra drop in performance out of your system.
Regardless of whatever platform you’re using, the new browser update also brings an optional gaming-oriented home page that points you to News Live streams and new releases, including quick access to the Xbox Cloud Gaming catalog. You’ll also be able to get access to a dedicated games menu that will offer free-to-play, arcade, and casual titles. This is not the first browser that’s built for gamers. It’s just an update to a normal chromium-based browser. But if you are looking for a dedicated gaming browser, you could go ahead and install opera GX on your system that launched three years ago with similar features like lower resource usage and quick access to live streams. But considering that Edge has a better ubiquity on window systems, it has better odds of widespread adoption from a lot of users out there
