No Man’s Sky is debuting on Nintendo Switch on October

No Man’s Sky is making its long-awaited debut on Nintendo Switch on October 7th. The listener switch version was previously announced for this summer, so that is a big delay for at least a couple of weeks. The sandbox survival title landed on PC and PlayStation 4 and 2016, and the Xbox One version came out two years later, so its Switch debut has been a long time coming. Switch players will now get access to all of the features and upgrades Hello Games brought to No Man’s Sky since its rocky launch back in 2016.

The game currently is a lot less buggy and a lot more healthy, although some players did have doubts about the game’s performance on the aging hardware and the Nintendo Switch, we did see a video from Hello Games that shows the game running fairly great on the console, although it remains to be seen what the actual performance will look like on the device.

There will be physical and digital editions of this game available for the switch on October 7th. On the same day, fans will be able to purchase a physical version for the PlayStation 5 as well for the first time. This game is currently slated to arrive on the Mac and iPad later this year, so that’s exciting for Apple users.
