Polestar has just announced a production version of the performance-tuned “Beast” EV they showed at the “Goodwood Festival of Speed” 2021 event. The Polestar 2 BST edition 270 produces 476 HP from its dual motors, With modifications like a lowered ride height, stiffer springs, adjustable dampers of the front strut bar, and a Polestar influence 21-inch wheels with custom Pirelli P Zero tires.
It’s a track racing version of the Polestar 2. Although the BST addition 270 is not quite as capable as the beast. Even so, with not being the beast, it does improve driving dynamics and a 4.4 seconds Sprint to 62 MPH will make it a viable alternative to rivals like the Tesla Model 3 performance version.
Just like the name implies, this variant will be very difficult for normal people to get, as there are only 270 examples from the company which they intend to sell across China, Europe, and North America, and you’ll also have to register just to be invited to buy one, and if selected you’ll have to pay $75,000. Production might start in the middle of the year, with delivery starting in the fourth quarter.
