Users can now use iPhone’s cameras with their Mac

Apple just announced a great new feature that allows iPhone users to Use the phone camera with their Mac. That’s the basic idea behind the continuity camera, which is a new feature coming to macOS Ventura that lets users plop an iPhone on top of a Mac using the phone’s mobile cameras to power video chats on FaceTime teams and any other conferencing app.

Although this feature is cool, it is kind of clunky considering every other Apple offering does not include a phone stand with a slight admission from Apple that their Mac cameras are not the best. Something that’s buggy if we’re talking about these Studio Display that is very expensive.

The entire continuity camera setup works wirelessly, bringing features Lakes, States Center which helps the camera follow you around the room. Also helps you tap into your phone’s ultra-wide camera to show a top-down view of your desk [This feature is particularly mind-blowing because we did not expect the latest iPhone 13 Ultra wide cameras to be that ULTRA wide]

Although this feature is a great way to get better background blur and lighting effects for all your video chats, there is this feature problem that you won’t be able to use your phone while you’re stuck in a work meeting.
