TCL has just made a budget Galaxy Note alternative with the $258 TCL Stylus 5G. This phone features a 6.81-inch FHD+ display with ample room for things like drawing, taking notes, or simply watching videos. The phone also features a blue light filter and support for the NXTVISION tech.

The phone will feature a 4,000 mAh battery, an octa-core Mediatek Dimensity 700 chip, 4GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. There are perks of being a low-range phone as well because unlike a lot of other premium devices, this phone comes with a micro SD card slot which will enable expandable storage, and a 3.5mm jack for wired audio.

On the camera end, The phone will feature a 50MP main sensor along with a 5MP Ultrawide lens, a 2MP depth sensor, and even a 2MP macro camera. Meanwhile, you’ll get a 13-megapixel selfie camera. Also, if you didn’t realize by now, the TCL stylus 5G will have a built-in storage slot for the pen along with a lot of other pre-installed stylus app features very similar to Samsung’s memo that lets you start taking notes without needing to unlock your device first.

Although the TCL offer does have a lot of great features, it does lack some advanced functions like, the pen is a passive stylus which will not be useful as a remote camera shutter or presentation tool, and despite having 5G, the phone only supports sub-6Ghz 5G.
