Snap just updated their custom series feature and will now allow more people to participate in it. The original Snapchat version of the feature only gave users a way to add friends to view and contribute to their stories, but this new version [Now called Shared Stories] allows friends to add their contacts. Snapchat says that this new feature will make it easier for the entire soccer team, camp squad, or a group of new coworkers to get in on the fun of the squad.

In regular Stories fashion, These shared stories will also be visible for 24 hours before disappearing, but that doesn’t mean that you won’t have a chat component because it is assumed that not all participants would know each other. Snapchat is also using automatic language detection and other review tools to monitor additions and make sure that everyone stays safe.
On top of all of the behemoth of features, you’ll also get notifications when you are joined into a shared story with someone you have blocked, which gives you the chance to leave the story if you are not comfortable sharing a part of your life with those users. Snapchat has released and promised a lot of other new features over the past couple of months to get more people to use the app, probably because their revenue growth is slowing down very much.
