Apple has now delayed the return to offices once again, being less strict about in-person work this time around. The company won’t require staff to come to the office three times a week now. The company makes some employees return two days a week in the weeks ahead.
Apple did not really share more details about this, but they did promise at least two weeks notice before any change would be made. The test will require that in person workers wear masks in common spaces and elevators, though.

Apple hasn’t really had a choice for awhile now as a lot of people are getting infected by coronavirus and also a lot of Apple workers have pushed back against the return to office plans as the part of Apple together movement in early May and it lands from the company also published an open letter asking the management for flexibility in remote work.
The company’s director for machine learning, Ian Goodfellow, also ended up quitting the position they had at Apple after the return to office policy. Apple also risked a lot of tensions and potentially losing more talent from the company if they continued with their earlier PLANS.
