Starlink revealed a new service for motorhome and RV people.

Starlink just unveiled a new product for people who live in motorhomes and RVs. It’s basically for people who cannot get connected to the satellite Internet service as they keep moving from one place to the other. “Starlink for RV’s” it is immediately available and they are shipping it out to buyers right now. Although you might think this is a really great service and you could also apply for getting one, It’s technically not because there’s a very major downside, that is, network resources are always deprioritized for it, and the service costs nearly $135, $25 more than the regular connection you get.

Basically, the RV option costs just as much as regular Starling connection with the reportability feature introduced back in March, allowing customers to use the service when they are away from home. Although there is a good site to the product as you will be able to have the ability to pause and unpause service from Starlink whenever you like, giving you total control when your billing starts and ends.

Also, since the network is to leave deprioritized for the RV service users, connection might still be slow and terminate in congested areas and during peak hours. Also, another bad thing about this is that you won’t really be able to use this service while you’re in motion, as Elon Musk also added on Twitter that the dish is just too big for cars.
