Apple will now pay their corporate and retail employees more wages

Apple will now pay their corporate and retail employees more wages to make sure they won’t leave the company to find better prospects as the company is raising their starting wage for employees to $22.00 an hour, up from $20, also giving more annual increases in salary starting in July instead of in the autumn.

Apple released a statement saying: “Supporting and retaining the best team members in the world enables us to deliver the best, most innovative, products and services for our customers. This year as part of our annual performance review process, we’re increasing our overall compensation budget.”

Apple is now paying their sales staff as much as 10% more than previously, and it’s still unclear if it’s still the same pay hike. Considering the worsening inflation in the United States people have also been looking for better job opportunities which are probably why Apple is now taking this step to appeal to more people and join them.

Although the company is raising employee compensation, it’s still accused of union-busting by retail workers as there was a leaked video showing Deirdre O’Brien VP of People and retail trying to stop the company’s employees from joining a union.
