Apple is working on its promise to deliver on what it said it would give before WWDC starts in June. We can see that as the company just released iOS 15.5 and iPad OS 15.5 with improvements to both Apple Cash and Podcasts. Apple Cash users will now be able to send and receive money from their card, while podcast users can have the app automatically limit episode storage based on criteria like the number of shows or time since released so that’s cool for users.

Also, a Mac OS 12.4 update is adding the irrelevant podcasts feature, and you’ll also be able to grab a previously teased firmware fix for the studio displays webcam quality, which was very mediocre to say the best. Apple has also released watch OS 8.6 TV OS 15.5 and Homepod 15.5 updates. Although all of these other updates will mainly focus on bug fixes and performance rather than any other new significant features that we would love to see, it’s totally fine.
The iOS iPad OS and Mac OS updates are not huge, but that’s not surprising as Apple has always historically wound down significant updates to their current OS around this time of the year as the focus is right only on iOS 16 and big new software coming ahead.
