Artists on Spotify will now be able to promote NFTs

In addition to the latest tracks and playlists on Spotify, artists will now also be able to use their Spotify artist page to promote their merch and concert dates. Well, soon enough the artists will also be able to use the pages to promote NFTs as Spotify just began testing NFT galleries. Currently, this feature is available to a very small group of United States-based users on Android.

Let’s just say you’re one of the few people that have access to the test, You will then be able to view the gallery by visiting one of the included artist pages and scrolling past the song list, you’ll be able to tap NFTs, which will allow you to see a larger version of it with a short description. You will also be able to see a “See More” option that will redirect you to the open sea listing page where you’ll be able to purchase the token.

This test is coming at a time when a lot of other major platforms like Instagram are incorporating their features into NFTs, even as the market is cooling down at a very fast rate. Well, there has been a very sharp and steep decline in the number of NFT wallets, which goes to show that the market is potentially going to go extinct which begs the question, are these big corporations onto something? Or is this just a very slow attempt at earning money with something that just died a while ago?
