YouTube is now making it a lot easier for users to find the best moments in a video, as the company is not updating its video players with experimental a graph that will show the most popular replayed segments on the video. This new feature will help you get rid of the guesswork or chapter markers that our creator puts into jumping past the fluff and getting to the real content you’re there for.
The company is also teasing some new plans to test the easier method to seek the exact point in the video that you want to play rather than simply displaying a thumbnail for a given point, the player will also give you a visual timeline that will indicate the scene change.
The additions join a big wave of improvements, including an enhanced full-screen mode, auto-generated chapters, and single video looping. We’re excited to see what YouTube comes up with in the future.
