People that use RV’s to travel around the country will now have a better way to access the Internet when they set up a camp for the night, as long as they don’t mind spending $135 per month. Starlink just announced a new feature called Portability, allowing users to temporarily use darling when they’re away from home.

The portability subscription costs $25 per month on top of the regular service fee, which the company recently bumped up to $110 per month. The Startlink hardware will now cost $600 without pre order. You might think that this feature would allow for support in motion use as well, but you will have to find the stationary spot within the service area with a clearview of the sky to get service. Also, the company still says that the portability feature is offered on a best effort basis as customers who are at their registered service address will receive priority access to the network.
This feature will really help give users a lot more flexibility and provide Internet access in areas that aren’t really covered by cell towers right now, which will make war ability particularly very useful for digital nomads who want to work from anywhere.
