After years of speculation, Snapchat just officially released its first selfie drone, which is a pocket-sized device called Pixy and doesn’t require a lengthy setup. The drone doesn’t even come with a controller. And the reason you don’t even get a controller with the drone is that you’ll be able to choose one of four presets with the touch of a button. As the drone will be able to float, orbit, or follow you and after you’re done, Pixy will land on your hand.

Snaps that the Pixy drone captures will be transferred to your Snapchat memories wirelessly after flights, and you’ll also be able to apply effects like speed ramps, and jump cuts in 3D bounce. This drone will be a very useful addition to their creator toolkit, following the footsteps of the snap spectacle lineup that emerged in 2017 when Snapchat was considering building its drones. So we know this drone has been a long time coming & we’re really glad it’s here. People in the United States and France will be able to buy Pixy now, costing them $230, and Snapchat also says that this drone will be available while supplies last. So better get it now.
