Google can now truly search for anything


At Google IO 2021. The company announced that they were using a new technology called multitask unified model to enhance the capabilities of their search engine. And then in September of that same year, they showed off how MUM would make it possible to search images and text within Google Lens.

Considering that you live in the United States, you will now be able to try the feature out in the Google app on Android and iOS, and if you wanted to do so, you could just tap the lens icon and then swipe up after snapping a new photo or importing an existing image from your camera roll.

You’ll be able to use this field to ask questions about images or to refine your search. Let’s just say you saw a shirt with a pattern you like, but you want to see that same pattern available on socks and other items of clothing. You could just type in stuff, but you don’t know what they call it. Let’s imagine you know what they call it. Even then, it’s a big bet to say you will be able to find it as Google might not be able to produce accurate useful search results.

Google said- “All this is made possible by our latest advancements in artificial intelligence, which is making it easier to understand the world around you in more natural and intuitive ways, we’re also exploring ways in which this feature might be enhanced by MUM – our latest AI model in Search – to improve results for all the questions you could imagine asking.”
