From today, every Instagram user in the United States with public accounts will be able to tag products in their Instagram feed posts. This option had now been limited to just brands and some creators out there, but Instagram is opening it up to everyone now. Budding influencers will be able to help their audience by things that they show off on their posts, people posting photos of their weekend outfits will be able to allow their followers to shop.

Instagram previously said that the idea behind this feature was to help people support their favorite small businesses out there, and, at least for now, you won’t get any cut of sales if you tag products though. Instagram has tested affiliate shops and met out wants to do more to help smaller creators. Or not living through their apps, which is a great thing. If you are very eager to give brands you love some free great promotion or you want to tag your products on your company profile, it’s a great tool to do so.
Product tagging just won’t stop adding feed posts as Instagram says that they are working on bringing a similar feature for stories too.
