Clubhouse just started testing an in-room gaming feature. They say that the game they are debuting with is going to be helping users get to know each other better. The game they are launching is called “Wild Cards” and it presents users with a series of ice breaker questions and challenges. If you are interested in this and would like to play, you’ll have to choose the game’s option under “+Rooms”.

Launching this kind of a feature that is currently not offered by other audio services like Twitter spaces could be a part of the company’s efforts to get more users to stick and communicate within their platform. After seeing how popular clubhouse got, a lot more well-known companies like Facebook, Spotify & even Amazon brought out their audio products. Although the popularity and download numbers took a hit when these rival services emerged, many users chose to move to establish social networks offering similar services.
But now, Clubhouse says that they are still growing and that they are not just a pandemic fad. Also, to get more users back under their umbrella, they have been increasing and releasing a lot of new, better, and experimental features to get users to stay.
