The US space force is going to be using a digital twin of Real satellites in orbit to prepare for calamities. A company named Slingshot Aerospace Is developing a digital space twin which will combine physics-based modeling with real-time object mapping, helping the space to simulate various situations and planned responses.

This Digital Twin will help mission teams decide how to react to a potential collision between satellites. The space force will also use this simulation to design safer and more efficient satellite constellations also using the digital environment to ready itself for nefarious acts from bad countries.
Slingshot is making this digital space to win thanks to a 39 month $25.2 million contract. This funding will also help the company conduct a pilot program that brings the laboratory simulation platform to space force educational and training outfits, including basic military training for the national Security Space Institute and two training squadrons.
Any practical proof of this concept is years away from actually being a reality, Although digital twins like this would be crucial for the space force and other Space agencies, Trim down costs, speeding up development, and help to avoid disasters.
