Instagram is making it a lot easier to chat while browsing your Instagram feed, as the company is adding new multitasking features that will allow users to quickly respond to any incoming messages without ever switching between their feet and their inbox.
With this new change, chats will appear on the top of your feet while browsing, and with that, you can respond just by tapping on the message. The app is also adding a new shortcut to make sharing posts a lot quicker instead of just scrolling through a list of contacts. Users will be able to designate four friends that appear as shortcuts. The app is also making a piece of a new music-sharing feature that will allow users to swap 32nd previews of songs via Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music.
Ever since Meta began merging Instagram and Messenger, Instagram’s in-App chat has steadily gotten more features and becoming more like Messenger. Although just the way it normally happens, these new updates won’t be available globally as the company says that these new features are available in select countries, with plans to expand globally, but they did not elaborate on which countries would get this feature.
