No. Joe Rogan is still on Spotify, it was a bug.

Don’t think the Joe Rogan Experience Podcast has disappeared from Spotify as they did confirm that there is a technical issue that is preventing users from playing many Spotify podcasts including Joe Rogan’s podcast and other shows like the Bill Simmons Podcast. Spotify did not elaborate on what went wrong, but the podcast shows are certainly missing.

Spotify did not say exactly when these podcasts that disappeared will be available again, and they did just say that this issue will be resolved soon, according to a spokesperson, and some users out there are already reporting that these shows are returning.

This timing is less than ideal for Spotify as a platform because it comes after a very big controversy for them over misinformation being spread in Spotify’s Joe Rogan podcasts. Joe Rogan himself also was accused of spreading false claims about COVID-19 vaccines, including Robert Malone who appeared as a guest on their podcast. With this controversy, many big critics out there who own podcasts, and even musicians are pulling their content from Spotify right now.

Spotify has very much resisted its demands to pull episodes of shows from the platform. A CEO, Daniel Ek, promise many different changes that would be appearing like content advisories for episodes discussing COVID-19 and also removing some episodes of the show Rogan Experience Podcast, They’re not removing the podcasts from the platform or banning Joe Rogan because they did sign a $200 million exclusivity deal with Joe Rogan and they do not want to lose it.
