iOS 15.4 release is already available in beta form for developers only. You don’t really have to be a developer to grab this version, but we’d recommend you should not install this beta version, That is because the beta version is very buggy and could also bring in crashes, lagging while also having the potential risk of wiping your entire device.
Apple is still working on the beta version and when this is over it will be available as a finished release. We’d recommend you wait until then, Here’s what’s new in iOS 15.4 (So you can just get to it when you get it on your device)
Face ID with a mask.

Apple did bring the notch and face ID to the iPhone in 2017, and the COVID pandemic struck in 2020, Most of us were forced to wear a mask. And you know face ID doesn’t work when you use it with a mask. Well, Apple is going to be changing that with iOS 15.4, You will now be able to use iPhones while wearing your mask. (We speculate it could be a little less secure than what you could get with the full face scanning) But it is great to see those kinds of features available on iPhones.
Universal control.
This version is technically more like an iPad OS 15.4 feature than an iPhone one, but it does allow users to connect an iPad to a Mac and use a single mouse and keyboard within these two devices altogether. The iPad’s display will just act as an external display for the Mac. We did hear about this feature back in WWDC 2021, but it has finally arrived in the iPad OS 15.4 beta.
New emojis.

Well, if you didn’t feel like there are not enough emojis for expressing your emotions, Well guess what, Apple has just come out with their 37 new emojis along with 75 skin tone variations for better inclusivity. Some people think that some of these new emojis are a little cursed, but we feel like it’s good.
Notes on an iCloud keychain.

If you use iCloud keychain then you will now be able to add notes alongside any password. It’s a fairly normal feature of password managers and it has been a long time coming it’s really good to see these kinds of features available on iPhones.
Apple card widget.

If you use Apple Card then with iOS 15.4 you will now be able to add a new widget for it to the Today view. This will display your balance and your available funds. Also, your daily spending across various categories.
Digital IDs on the wallet app.
Before we move on to other smaller features, this is a big feature that is not actually a sign of iOS 15.4 but could be included as It’s being worked on. This feature will allow US users to add their driver’s license and state ID to their wallet app. It could be accepted at TSA checkpoints in airports, events, and other venues too.
Smaller features.

IOS 15.4 is also going to be adding more smaller tweaks and improvements. Including the ability to turn off notifications for personal automation in shortcuts, You can activate Share play from the share sheet, And customize the left and right corners. Swipe gestures in the notes app. You can use your iPhone to sign into passkey compatible websites and apps on your iPad or Mac. Also, people in the EU can now add their COVID vaccine cards to the Wallet app, and there is also evidence in the iOS 15.4 beta that Apple is working on a cosmetic scan feature (To check your iPhone for damage when trading it in)
